I was born in Miami, moved to Marathon when I was five years old. I have been here ever since. The Florida Keys are my home. Started recreational fishing around the 6th grade and started commercial fishing in the seventh grade. Many of my peers and closest friends were sons of commercial fisherman and fishing dominated much of my young life. Several well established and successful local commercial fisherman took me under their wings and taught me all I need to know about commercial and recreational fishing. I graduated high school, continued commercial fishing and started mating on private charter fishing boats. I bought my first boat for charter, a 24′ T-craft in 1996 when I met my now wife Kelly and hence the boat is named after her, the Kelly’s Green. We married, have two sons and fishing is our lives.
I have met many people, made life long friends through fishing and experienced things I could never imagine. I have traveled to Cuba, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and the Bahamas for fishing. I consider myself an all around skilled fisherman and Captain. I thoroughly enjoy my job and teaching others to fish or catching them fish, is what makes me most happy.
When you book a charter at Kelly’s Green Sportfishing, everything is included except what you personally want to eat and drink. Coolers and ice will be available to hold your food and drink items. Your fishing licenses are also included with your charter cost. The boat is a very comfortable and great boat to fish off of. Fresh bait will also be provided depending on the type of fishing you are booked for.
